DEVELOPING HIGHER-ORDER THINKING SKILLS READING COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This developmental research aims at developing Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) reading comprehension questions for senior high school students. is in line with the national educational goal which to increase competitiveness global era while manipulating Higher-Oder communication. supported by theory that HOTS enable students think critically. The ADDIE model of instructional design applied process creating questions. Two authentic analytical exposition texts and two explanation are used as materials. Twenty five multiple-choice Analyzing, Evaluating, Creating levels cognitive domain Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy (RBT) developed. A blue print basis development ensure content validity Fifteen did test their answers were scored writers. K-R21 was examine reliability coefficient resulted r=0.68. considered a reliability. It expected this paper would give beneficial insights teachers material developers providing important exercises or tests type can be used.
